It’s been over a decade since Kevin Carroll’s home court was Philadelphia’s Wachovia Center. As one of the first African American athletic trainers in the NBA, Kevin taped ankles, reset finger joints and iced creaky knees. During his tenure between 1995-1997 with the Philadelphia 76ers, KC tended to Jerry Stackhouse and the great Allen Iverson as well as developing enduring friendships that remain strong in spite of the passage of time.

This past spring, the Sixers set out the welcome mat and invited the Katalyst back to town for their March 24 game against Orlando. Kevin jumped at the chance to catch up with old friends, inspire the crowd with Rules of the Red Rubber Ball, and watch a damn fine game of basketball!
