TEDx Vancouver* was:
1:10,000,000 (ref: my unforgettable lightning strike moment - see tweets for details), inspiring, insightful, encouraging, musical, soulful, clever, playful, global, energetic, emotional, captivating, celebratory, whimsical, delicious (Memphis Blues & red velvet TEDx cupcakes!) delightful & most of all…it was an absolutely fantastic way for the nearly 150 invitation-only attendees to spend a Saturday in Burnaby, BC!
*What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is call TEDxVancouver, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxVancouver event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
