The Aspen Ideas Festival draws the most influential thinkers to the Aspen Institute for a week long gathering full of debate and the combining of perspectives and ideas. Plum TV correspondent Karen Duffy, was at the Aspen Institute to talk to these leaders and gain insight into their platform on the most controversial issues. One of the most significant topics, the environment, invites ideas of eliminating environmental ignorance and realizing humanly limits within the environmental systems. She also addresses education and play, and talks with thought leaders about why play is crucial for children and the role of creativity in education. At the Aspen Ideas Festival 2010, Professional LEGO artist, Dan Parker shows off a model solar powered city made entirely out of LEGOs. The city, which is the smallest and cleanest on the planet, demonstrates how concepts can come to life through creative media.

A quick trip to Aspen turned out to be an unexpected, inspiring, playful & energy replenishing moment for me. The eclectic gathering of thinkers, game changers, storytellers, and human catalysts was much-needed “sustenance” for my creative soul! (BIG Thanks & MUCH Luv to Darell Hammond + team at KaBOOM!!)
