From the Improv Everywhere website:

“Improv Everywhere causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places. Created in August of 2001 by Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere has executed over 70 missions involving thousands of undercover agents. The group is based in New York City.”

Well, Improv Everywhere caused a stir a few days ago in NYC with its “Frozen Grand Central” mission.  207 IE agents, average folks recruited for the undercover operation, took over the Grand Concourse of Grand Central Station - a huge expanse of real estate full of passengers heading to and from trains - and created a human ice sculpture, freezing in place & throwing a five-minute monkey wrench into the automated stride of the perplexed onlookers…

When play or art are used improvisationally and with heart, real change can result…
