We told you last week about Ncobile, one of Lynda Bleazard's young patient's at the Walter Sisulu Paediatric Cardiac Centre for Africa who desperately needed surgery. Here is her update:
"Dear Kevin, hi there, greetings from the WSPCCA! Little Ncobile had her surgery yesterday - the procedure is called: Pulmonary Artery Banding. Ncopostop.jpg Dr Kinsley will close all the holes in her heart when she is older - possibly age 2. Needless to say, her mum, Maureen, was very anxious throughout the operation but seeing her little girl and the remarkable recovery she is making has her smiling today! NcoMom.jpg Here are some photos of Ncobile. Note the "blue lips" prior to surgery. Ncobile and Mau.JPG She has already been removed from the life-support machines. She is hungry and is letting us know it!! Enjoy! Catch you later, Lynda Mrs.L.Bleazard Chief Executive Officer Walter Sisulu Paediatric Cardiac Centre for Africa NPO # 045874
